Pizzacat

Made of: A pepperoni pizza. The only savoury cat in the bakery.

Pizzacat is a cartoon cat made out of a pizza: a round, chubby body of golden crust and dough, with melted cheese draped over the head like a cosy hood and slices of pepperoni dotted about. The only savoury cat in the original bakery, and always happy to bring the cheese.

Big-hearted, a little stretchy and generous to a fault, Pizzacat believes the best food is food you split with friends, slice by slice. Pizzacat organises the staff tea, remembers who doesn't like olives and is first to the door whenever the bell rings.

Favourite spot: the warm stone ledge in front of the bread oven, where it is just hot enough to keep the cheese perfectly gooey.

Quirks: does a little spin whenever anyone says extra cheese, saves the crusts for the birds, and has never quite understood why the others only make sweet things.

For Christmas, Pizzacat becomes a Christmas-dinner pizza, topped with cranberry, sprouts, stuffing-ball bites and a sprig of basil holly. That is the festive look shown here: everything you love about Christmas dinner, in one slice.
