The Christmas cats

Puddingcat

Made of: A Christmas pudding. Saving the best for last.

Puddingcat is a cartoon cat made out of a Christmas pudding: round, dark and fruity, with white icing drizzled over the top and a sprig of holly with bright red berries perched between the ears.

Puddingcat is a round, jolly soul who loves being the grand finale. While the others rush about, Puddingcat waits patiently, knowing that the best is always saved for last. When the moment comes, the lights dim, everyone gathers round and Puddingcat glows with pride. There is no greater joy than a table full of happy, slightly too full people.

Favourite spot: the top of the old wooden dresser, on the best cake stand, where Puddingcat can look down on the whole bakery like a kindly host.

Quirks: laughs a deep, wobbly laugh, keeps a lucky silver sixpence hidden somewhere nobody has ever found, and tells the same Christmas stories every year to anyone who will listen (everyone listens). Puddingcat is proof that the cosiest things in life take a little time.
