Spookiecat

Made of: A chocolate cookie iced like a skeleton. Says boo, then can't stop giggling.

Spookiecat is a cartoon cat made out of a chocolate cookie, piped with white royal icing in a friendly cartoon-skeleton pattern: an iced face, rounded ribs, little bones and a stripy tail. A tiny drip of lime slime on one ear and a little puddle by the paws finish the look.

Spookiecat is the joker of the Halloween squad. The plan is always the same: hide behind the counter, leap out with a big BOO, and then giggle so hard the icing nearly cracks. Nobody has ever actually been frightened, but everybody has ended up laughing, which Spookiecat counts as a win.

Favourite spot: the dark gap under the counter by the till, perfect for surprise appearances, with a clear view of the shoes of whoever is coming next.

Quirks: practises spooky faces in the shiny side of the mixing bowl, rattles gently when excited, and secretly sleeps with the landing light on. Cute, not creepy, and a favourite with spooky-season fans of every age.
